Lock stops working after a restart

Restarting your phone can end a lock, unless you turn on the setting to keep it. Some phones, especially Xiaomi, Redmi, and other MIUI phones, also stop background apps after a restart to save battery.

There are two in-app settings. Keep Locked After Device Restart, in Settings, covers Quick Locks. Lock after restart, on each schedule, covers that schedule.

1. Open the Settings tab and turn on Keep Locked After Device Restart, under Emergency Access.
2. For schedules, edit each schedule and turn on Lock after restart.
3. Long-press the Mindful Lock icon, tap App info, and open Battery.
4. Turn on Allow auto-launch (or Autostart), and Run in background if you see it.
5. Restart your phone to check the lock holds.
